    Jake was born on 4 February in Accra, Gold Coast (now Ghana), the third son of Emmanuel Obetsebi-Lamptey, a lawyer and politician, and the second son of his Dutch wife Margaretha,[2] Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey had his primary education in Accra, before travelling to England to further his education.
