Born in October 25, 1962, to A Sivasailam, late chairman of the Amalgamations Group, Jayshree was married to Murali Venkatraman, vice-chairman and managing director of WS Industries, Chennai. She was the sister of Mallika Srinivasan, chairman of Tafe, who is also wife of Venu Srinivasan, CMD of TVS Motor Company.
